Racelogic at Autosport 2010 |
It was great to see many of you at last weekend’s Autosport Show in Birmingham, UK, where the blue glow of the Racelogic aluminium oval dominated the stand.

Two plasma screens entertained show goers, with Video VBOX footage of some exciting racing on the Nurburgring, and a lifelike image of Top Gear’s ‘Stig’ driver on the live video, which caused some confusion and amusement!
We also demonstrated our new and intuitive circuit driving analysis software, which generated lots of interest on the stand (as you can see from the above photo). Designed to work with any Racelogic datalogger, it will be released in the next few weeks. Watch this space!

Do you own a PerformanceBox or DriftBox? |
If you'd like to use a Micro Input Module with your Performance Box and it's older than September 09, you just need to contact your dealer to install a serial port on your unit.
If you own a DriftBox, you’ll need a firmware upgrade, available for free on our website.

Toyota Celica breaks the 200mph barrier |
A 700bhp Toyota Celica reached 202.22mph at Woodbridge airfield near Ipswich late last year, an amazing feat for a road legal Celica.
Modified by Fensport Performance, the car was driven by Adrian Smith, and all data was recorded with Fensport’s Performance Box.
The fact that the speed was reached from a standing start in just 1.1 miles makes the feat even more impressive!

‘In car’ footage of human powered vehicle racing, Aussie style
Roll overs, spin outs, and aggressive overtaking aren’t something you would usually associate with pedal power, but for the student drivers and teams involved in this human powered vehicle race they were a regular occurrence.
Taking place in Victoria, Australia, the 19-year old event featured a 24-hour relay using sophisticated vehicles, designed and driven by school pupils.
Australian VBOX dealer Protech developments are the long standing sponsor of the Peninsular School, fitting Video VBOX units to both the teams' vehicles. This gave the ability to analyse driving lines and improve efficiency, helping them to reach first place!

We now have a new support manager in the form of Darran Shepherd, a keen track day driver and general car nut who can sometimes be found on the Nurburgring in cars such as his Mazda MX5. (Spot his DriftBox in the photo!)
Darran oversees the technical support team, as well as product testing and development, and can be contacted here.

| We also have new positions available (details here) for a production engineer and a sales and marketing administrator. Send us your CV if you are interested in working at Racelogic! |

An easier way to find your CAN data |

| Autosock keeps Racelogic on the Road |
Due to the recent snow in the UK, VBOX customers Autosock are seeing unprecedented demand.
Autosock slips over car tyres to increase traction on snow and ice, and is responsible for helping a number of the Racelogic staff into work!
With driving performance with the socks having been rigorously measured using VBOX systems, the company claims that they are even more effective than winter tyres or snow chains, especially for short distances.
